London portrait photography by Chris Gloag. The Editorial photography (Photography for magazines, papers, news letters etc) here has been commissioned by different magazines for different reasons. Some magazines want a strong narrative with visual clues to the Persons identity/job/expertise, other magazines want the image to convey a mood or just show the subject in their normal environment.
The portraits here of Henry Olonga (Cricketer) were shot for Spin Magazine. The photography editor here wanted a strongly music themed image because Henry had released an album. He wanted to stay away from Cricket gear so his portrait photography accross the magazine doesn't become samey.
